GOOD FRIDAY

Before desert rain,
Winds scream
Through the valley wildly,
Wildly,
With no melody
Or name.

A wilderness of wildness,
The winds scream
Without shame.

Brother, your feet
And hands bear wounds
Scorched by the light
Of your candle.

But, I,
I hear your soul
Crying out,
The wild desert wind,
Before
The dark rain.
