TRUTH

Here in the desert, we're
Branded
By the burning sun,
Fearlessly
Alive in the hardened
Earth's
Bleached dryness.

Only the strong survive

For who can bear the stark
Un-shadowed
Sculpture of their soul
Carved
Against the purple sky?
