UNTITLED
Tonight,
Blue feathered stars
Flash
Through the sky,
Setting the moon afire.
White ash falls,
Comforting
The steaming desert with
Frosted rain.
In the red washed air
A coyote screams.
The purple phoenix
Beats its wings,
Breathing
Into the newness of life,
And we sleep on.
