HOT TIME IN PARADISE
Desert summer,
The air is thick
With heat,
Unrelenting
Heavy dryness
Worn around the body
Fully,
Like a cloak.
It is hot,
Stifling scorching
Hot.
Torpor
Inhabits the mind,
And cats lie in the shadows,
Langourously
Dreaming.
