ON HEARING THE NEWS
Death came at the blue moon,
A fitting tribute in itself,
As most die
Only
At pale indifferent times.
My bones shrink with sorrow
And future fear,
Tears
For the wild bull
Goring
The clawing bear, and
A glimpse back tenderly
To Home.
