NUMBERS 36

Money stays within the family,
The writer says, and
Here the Book of Numbers ends.
I think to myself,
The writer has put down his pen.
But why?
Why here?
Was there not more to say, or
Perhaps there was less?
But the writer caps his pen,
Rises from his chair,
Closes the Book firmly,
And leaves.
