TREE
My family tree has heavy limbs
Extending wide and upwards to the sky.
If you imagine the branches laden with fruit,
Rather than twiglets and leaves,
You'd see clusters of pomegranates,
Oranges lemons green figs.
My children are the sweetest dates,
Myself,
A ripened olive.
Our roots are deep, going
Back, back to
The very Beginning.
