THE COVID PATIENT

Satan's poison took hold,

Turning her blood to fire,

Limbs to ice, and

We who love her can do nothing

But pray,

Raise our palms to the sky,

Offer up rivers of sighs,

Trust

That God will send his Lamb,

His healing salve.
